This serum is made with 3% Tranexamic Acid, a derivative of the amino acid lysine, which reduces the activity of melanocyte tyrosinase and effectively treats melasma, UV-induced discoloration, and other forms of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH).

In addition, the formula contains 3% Mandelic Acid, a type of AHA that gently exfoliates and further reduces PIH such as acne scars. It also includes 1% HPA (Hydroxyphenoxy Propionic Acid), which has been proven to prevent melanogenesis more effectively than ascorbyl glucoside, kojic acid, and arbutin.
